HI, ANYONE GOT ANY IDEA WHAT THE SPEC IS FOR THE TRANSFORMER ON THIS LCD, AS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR MONTHS TO GET A NEW ONE NOW TO TRY FOR AN EQUIVALENT ONE TO FIT.

its the one at the top of the main power supply its marked zy-t0045 yellow in colour.

what are they ringed for

these have been replaced except the one at top left.

what is the original fault, is it dead or tripping try checking the
two diodes on the heatsink at top of tne panel

test d102 for short or leaky and r110 for o/c
had the fault a few times

transformer makes a high frequency noise after ten minutes when the back cover is fitted, if you leave the cover of it works fine changed the ceramic capacitors which made a slight difference, now think the transformer is over heating creating this noise.

Hi Mac,

Used to dip such things into a tin of varnish or epoxy then hang up to set - some folks suggest superglue - always worked, but these modern chopper transfomers can get really hot in normal use - just a thought, only prob I had with this set was with a S/C Shottky dual diode - Chris.
