The good news is managed to get a transformer from ebay and fitted it today, problem solved no more high pitched noise from tv

im a reformed character, santa claus was good to me and gave me another 5 years, i spoke to sparky, hello sparky! and that lcd1908 transformer, got that too, are we all mates again, speak soon

Removed and replaced with proper tools and know how now works a treat.
