Hi Chris
Sorry to cause confusion. Posts are in the lcd forum and not fault database. Here's a link
http://www.tv.quuq.org/forum/index.php?topic=2801.msg7483#msg7483
Have since found that this fault is quite common. Tubes are available from CHS but are expensive!
Regards
John.

Isnt there a common fault on Sharps where the rivets on the panel must be resoldered. I had a Sharp that cut off and that was the fault.

Lamperror.
Unplug the AC power cord of TV set to force power off.
While holding down the “VOL (–)” and “INPUT” keys on the set at once, plug in the AC power cord to turn on the
set. The letter K appears on the screen. (Factory mode)
Next, hold down the “VOL (—)” and “P ( V )” keys on the set at once.
Look at ERROR STANDBY COURSE.
If it says Lamperror let me know.
