hi chris im guessing you suspected the screen in your case then .i cant get my head around the screen being faulty as the symptoms indicate a faulty tcon but as iv replaced with a known good tcon with no effect must admit im stumped here

Hi DJ,
yes it's the screen itself as unbelievable as it seems;it happened to me.

Hi Folks,

Hoping for thoughts from notable Quuqers explaining that picture delay - seems rather odd, who can explain a lengthy picture delay caused by the screen   ?     Awful curious - Chris.

See this a lot with mainly LTA320WT-L05 panels. Sometimes thumping the screen bezel restores normal pics for a short time. Tried reflowing the top & side pcb's but never been able to cure it, the first time I saw this I expected it to be the T-con. :dubbio:

Service mode on most Samsungs is as follows;

Put the set in standby then press the following remote functions: INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER ON

I did not believe this could be a screen lcd panel fault, so I replaced all panels into a diffrent unit
and the fault was cured.....LCD panel to blame...had this twice so far...... :03:

We see plenty of duff screens,its worth pressing along the top edge of the screen on the right hand side,you can in most cases replicate the fault and even cure it if you press hard enough,what happens is the micro connecters lift of due to heat,these cant be put back on ,but sometimes you can pack some rubber strips between the screen and the metal frame this applies enough pressure just to keep it working,its one hell of a bodge but seems to cure some of them.

 :57:hell foam?,that would be a hell of a risk,if we are talking about expanding foam that would be leathal,the best stuff to use is that rubber stuff you get behind and on top of heatsinks,you see lots of it on t-con boards ,grey stuff,i guess now thats what you mean rather than the expanding foam :57:
