Kilroys:
Enjoy.
Could it be the famous X3001 ?

Turnip:
Hi Kilroys and thanks for that PDF -

Nice to get a Power/Inverter shematic included these days,

What is the famous X3001 - can't find a reference ?  - Chris.

Kilroys:
Should be X3051 not X3001.
All the lamps should turn on  at the same time.
Had one where the lamps start to blink
and gave a lamp error every time. Had to change all ten lamps.
A few where there was a horizontal shadow. Change the dark lamp.
and finally a few where I change the crystal X3051 becourse
in the beginning I only reset the lamp error and the picture was ok but
got the tv back in a few weeks.
There is a bulletin about bad lamp connector if a pwb holder is missing.
Have never seen that pwb holder missing.

high folks and update

Managed to find the problem but customer ( a mate) did not want to buy two new tubes.   basically when its starts up two tubes are a bit slow but after 10 second  a slight dullness on the white test screen disappears. these two tubes seem to send an over voltage signal through and so up the trip count and shut set down. once on after around 20 seconds picture is very nice and set is fine

have left the shorting link on and he now runs it only when someone is in the room with it!! --his choice  will review situation if more serious problem arises

thanks  4 help folks

Richey
