Hello there,
My Hannspree HT11 television, that is about 2 and a half years old, has recently stopped working correctly. The TV appears to be stuck in Standby mode and not able to turn on properly.
The problem started about a month ago when pressing the power button on either the remote or the TV itself would not turn the TV from standby to active/on. The standby light would just remain on and not change. However, this could be easily fixed by attempting to turn the TV on and off a number of times. By doing so, eventually the TV would turn on. Alternatively, unplugging and replugging the TV into the mains would also work.
However, over time the problem has slowly worsened becoming harder to turn on each time. Until now, when I cannot get the TV to turn from standby to on at all.
It doesn't appear that there is any problem with the power supply as the standby light remains on (stays orange) - showing that there is power running into the TV. The problem is that standby light will not turn blue.
What I do find fairly peculiar is that when the power button on either the remote or TV is pressed, the screen appears to flash - as if it is trying to turn itself on but just cannot make the final connection to actually do so. This only occurs for a short second before the screen goes back to it's original state. Additionally, the orange light does not change during this process and just stays orange.
I have also attempted leaving the TV unplugged for a short while and even a long while (sometimes whole days) to see if that had any effect. Originally it looked to help but now it does not seem to have an effect on the set.
If anyone has any ideas about what the problem with the TV could be and if there is anyway of fixing it then please let me know,
Thanks in advance.
