Nae bother. Panel fault seems to be the consensus - horizontal lines=panel fault. I hoped that because the lines are moving it might be something else. Frustrating not being able to check anything to be certain.

I did come across a fix for the QD26HL02 panel with horizontal lines which just required 2 wires from the main board to the driver board. Was hoping there might be something similar for the 32" panel.                 

I've got a Acer 26" LCD TV which uses a QD26WL01. The PCBs look quite similar. Wonder if I could connect the QD32HL01 up to the Acer in some way - does that sound worth exploring?
