« on: December 24, 2011,05:38:30 »
Hi folks,

Have one of these that comes on on BBC1 perfect sound and picture but - neither RCU or set buttons work. Blue led flashes in sympathy with RCU. Unplugged local buttons in case of tact problem but no dice.

Any hope ?  Chris.

PS - Main board is 715G3462-1  Power/Inverter 715G3511

Hi Chris

Sounds like it needs a service mode reset, but I don't know how you access it

I found this on the 'other' site so you can try it:

"Press and hold Menu button on front panel for about 5 secs, release the menu button and then press the menu button on the remote control. Note apply above operations to toggle between remote on and off"

Im not sure it makes a lot of sense but worth a shot

Happy Christmas

Hi Folks,

Thought to update this one as entering A642F on the interweb brings up similar problems where RCU and set buttons don't work.
Got a screen smash panel on Ebay and now set works well on it's buttons - RCU still giving blue flash on set but nothing else - Wilts don't yet do an RCU but suspect prob might be elsewhere.

PS. Thanks Brian for that other-site info - as you had guessed, it does nothing useful but kept me busy pre Crimble - Chris.

on A626 version
Bush A626 no remote functions
You can disable the remote control and/or the user control buttons on the set.
 :33:
A few ways to get out of this.

Press Menu button for 10 seconds on remote control to enable/disable remote functions.

Press the Menu button on the tv to enable/disable the TV user controls on the set.

Hi F-I-N, nice one, will give it a go - reply tomorrow,

Forgot to mention that on pressing 'Menu' on the set - after board change, cursor buttons on RCU worked, enabling a full reset and re-tune - even RCU S/by button functioned.

Out of 'Menu' no RCU buttons work - some strange Bush - Thanks again - Chris
