Vestel sound setting in service mode

Turning to standby stores the values, check the values are as below......


Reinstate sound settings as follows:

Enter Service mode.

Press Menu then 4725.

Go to Audio menu.

Select Sound 2. and enter the following values:

FM PRESCALE AVL ON 29

NICAM PRESCALE AVL ON 62

SCART PRESCALE AVL ON 28

SCART VOLUME AVL ON 116

FM PRESCALE AVL OFF 15

or is it pos its in hotel mode if so try these

STANDARD/DEFAULT: MENU, 4,7,2,5;
CALIB MENU: MENU, 4,7,2,6
HOTEL MENU: MENU, 1,3,2,5


VESTEL - 17MB25-35 CHASSIS
HOTEL MODE: MENU, 7,9,3,5
if in digital, press MENU, then select TV setup, and input above.

Do you have any signal / data coming out of the IR receiver? And have you got supply to the IR receiver?

Many thanks FIXITNOW and Keith for the suggestions and information.

As the set does not respond to the remote, unless you know how to do what you suggest from the buttons on the set and can advise accordingly, I am unable to proceed.

There is power to the IR board which the illuminated standby LED on the IR board confirms. If I get the oppertunity, I will carry out some further diagnostics with the multimeter and get the oscilloscope on it to check for signals. I will report back in due course.


Anyone that can offer any further suggestions would be most appreciated.

had several vestel remote lockouts cured by remove batteries and short contacts out in remote refit batteries to try again this happens when batterys start to fade
