Hi Les,

Was just that I had one in, a few weeks before your mail.

A bit embarrassed as I broke a tube discovering it wasn't a tube fault, just crap inverter design.

Mine was a customer set, so failure to mend wasn't on the agenda - Resolderd all the inverter to screen connections - Tube clips/ends were stainless, so a wire wrap did the biz.

Was fortunate, as had some quantity of tubes 2 inches shorter, so sorted one on long wires, did the biz.

Reset also functioned - Suspect that if one doesn't do the whole job (as edge connectors are always suspect - Had three burned ones in mine) Continuing troubles would natch prevent reset.

Not back yet - Chris.
