Turnip:
Hi Mike,
Feel fun is the thing, we mend tellies seriously but can't help giggling at some entries, where folks don't quite know the make or model, but just want a free-mend.
Well, it's a free site, so some crap is us.
There are other sites where professionals chew the biz.
Costs a bit, and some professionable folks don't actually mend anything, just chew on - Chris.
Turnip:
Hi Bruce,
Guess you'll have to do a Spooner on Quuq,
Our Prince Charles has just suggested that the bare chested Putin might be suspect, or even a dork.
Had some suspicions - Chris.
Bit sorry can't do whimsy on other entries, but only For a Quuq hero.
Guess Quuq heroes were formerly checked for possible future invective, as few can spell, and those who use spellcheck seem still to have problems with English, Giving us lesser folks a chance for a smile.
Suspect some antipodean stuff might be the biz- Enjoyed 'Walkabout', but could have been the gal, as she was well nifty at the time.
Must admit, never had tubes more than 24 inch with this problem unless Sharp with that ghastly inverter edge connector biz.
OldLes:
I started a thread back in December on a 42" Sharp. That had problems with those edge connectors, but even after testing all CCFLs, including some replacements, it would light up for a brief period then shut down.
I was unable to reset the lamp failure counter, so in the end I returned it to the amenity site just before they started charging. It was a beautiful set, just screaming to be fixed, but it had me beat.
Les.

I must confess I'm delighted by this mixture of professionalism and fun.Thanks.

Hi Turnip,
I also enjoyed that film, albeit a distant memory. Probably was the good-looking Jenny Agutter.
I remember an absence of much script in the movie.....Twould be right at home on the quuq forum.
