hi has anyone repaired one of these it's a sony HCD-GTZ3i, turn it on relay clicks, press power button comes on for a few seconds, then clicks off with standby light flashing, you have to unplug it to power up again thanks for your time

Usally a continuous blinking is a short on power board, probably bad capacitors. Take back cover of and check for buldged or leaky capacitors.

 hi,it happened to me on HCD-NEZ3 to find C305 s.c.(on pin#14 of IC302-volume control);as HCD-GTZ3I uses

 IC407 for the volume control worth a check on pin#51 where Vcc arrives.cheers.
