Samsung LE19B450C4W - No go, 5 led flash.

Hi folks,

Have one in with above problem. Noticed 'Quuq' reports on some 'Sammy' main boards with duff electros on the Buck outputs, but not BN41-00171A as it doesn't have any - Totally Ceramic.

Power/Inverter board seems OK, and the dual inverter transformer reads identically either side.

Any thoughts ? - Thanks, Chris.

Hi Chris,

Do you get standby 5V at pin 27 of CN2001 on the PSU. SW-POWER pin is 29....does it get a high from the micro when you try to switch the tv on.If not, unplug the connector from the PSU to the Main and force the PSU on. See if other rails on CN2001 come up.

Only a thought, as I couldn't attach the fault-finding flow chart....too big, and the upload section seems to have been removed.

as you maybe know,powering up the tv with CN2001(on the main board)unplugged,if the psu is ok,the backlights must

lit,so you can discern between the psu and the main;by the way,the main is a Saturn 4? have a good day.Mike

Thanks for your thoughts - Will go check over Crimble - Have a good one - Chris.

Later - Pulled the plug, and although have 15v and 5v the backlights didn't fire up. Had previously checked tubes OK and resistance readings on both halves of inverter transformer were identical. Bit odd as tubes don't flash up at all - Must dig down a bit, could be the FAN7320 drive chip.
