NEON C3298F LCD TV

E Parton:
Indeed Ian ..
You wont find it for sale commercially anywhere ..
The sets are made in China and Europe ..and I believe the supermarkets like Tesco and Morrisons ...expressly forbid information and serviceable parts at component level ..plus schematics and manuals to be released into the public or indeed service domain ..
How else are they gonna fleece the punters for new cheap appliances on a regular basis.
Its called capitalism and Churn

As to your problem ...its the same flash device ..but would need a good chip to read and make a clone ..
Sadly its one I haven't seen or read yet ..
Perhaps someone out there can produce a binary dump ?
..this way a clone chip could be made to fix yours up ..
Another reason why I'm pushing to expand the database started by Mulja
self help is our only chance ...and reading and writing these chips should not be elitist amongst capable service techs ..

Hi Ian ..
I suspect that will fix yours up ...good luck with it ..
But the idea of selling the eprom contents is what upsets me ..
Which is why I think we should try and build up a database for engineers..
I have no objection to anyone selling a preprogrammed chip ..
after all there is time effort involved insourcing ..importing and reading + programming..
But selling the code/contents at £15 for someone elses code seems a bit excessive..
Just my opinion of course
nevertheless ..I wish you luck with it..and hope you get favourable result.

Ohm Supplies:
Evan,

What exactly do you find wrong with selling eeproms?

Turnip:
Hi Ohm,

Was the case - years ago, that manufacturers cared about after service, some gave a full manual for every set.

No complaints Ohm'wise as we all need to live - admit when recently at a Tesco spares site for bits they could only offer castors.

Pollux to 'em, though must admit like those piles of Neon/Technica at the roadside now local recycling has been discontinued with usual Tory 'efficiency' - green/recycling is for me - Chris.
